The Role of Authorised Corporate Service Providers

The concept of an ACSP was introduced by the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 (ECCTA). Once the new measures take effect, all third-party agents filing on behalf of companies or LLPs will need to be registered ACSPs.

Registered ACSPs will be authorised to:

  • Verify the identities of directors, PSCs and others involved with companies

  • Submit statutory filings to Companies House on behalf of clients

  • Confirm compliance with verification standards through official statements

This framework ensures Companies House can identify who is submitting information and hold intermediaries accountable for unlawful or improper activity.
