This includes company officers, persons with significant control, and agents handling registrations.
Every director — new or existing — must verify before appointment or within a set deadline.
Individuals or entities owning 25%+ shares or voting rights must verify.
Responsible for filings and compliance — verification is required to act officially.
Agents who verify on behalf of clients must also complete their own verification.
Non-UK residents acting as directors or PSCs must verify online or via an ACSP.
Certain public authorities or government officers acting under statutory powers may be exempt from verification.
However, all private individuals and company officers must complete the process — there are no exceptions for role size or ownership percentage below PSC thresholds.
